Most of the residents were art students of the Art Academy of Nuremberg. In the year 2000, the current group gave up the rental contract for the flat. The kitchen table, the bench and the kitchen lamp were left over, because they didn't belong to anybody. It is said that these pieces of furniture had been placed in the kitchen when the flat was occupied by the initial group of people, sometime in 1979, and hadn't been removed since. ![]() Since April, 2001 the furniture is placed in the museum "Neue Kunst im Hagenbucher" in Heilbronn, Germany. But now the city council has decided to use the building differently. The artworks have to move. The artist’s residence Villa Floreal in Cadegliano, Northern Italy, will become the new home of the furniture, where it will serve artists again. Art and Money In March 2008 Stephan Kurr will be the special guest of the Quarterly Forum of the Art & Economics Group. The talk will focus on art as the boundless money market, the practice to judge art by its monetary value and discuss perspectives of an art, independent of the market forces and a market independent of financial forces. Stephan Kurr will introduce some of his theoretical and artistic positions. The talk will be in English. ![]() Presented by Tanja Ostojic / David Rych / Dmytri Kleiner on behalf of the Art & Economics Group.
